Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Previous experience working as a school-based OT required
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Skilled at working with elementary-aged children with various needs
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine functional abilities and areas of need
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate with special education and general education staff
  • Maintain comprehensive records and progress notes in line with regulatory standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
  • Consult with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student goals
