Certified Elementary School Occupational Therapist | Escondido, California

Step into a dynamic role supporting elementary students as a licensed Occupational Therapist in an onsite, contract position. In this full-time opportunity, you'll have the chance to work closely with an engaged team and make a meaningful impact on young learners across multiple elementary campuses. With a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) readily available to collaborate, you'll be able to focus on providing quality therapy and helping students reach their full potential. The assignment begins as soon as possible and is expected to continue through the end of the current school year.

Desired Qualifications:

• Holds current Occupational Therapy licensure and certification for practice in California
• Demonstrated experience with elementary-aged students in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of assessments, IEP development, and implementation of therapy goals
• Effective collaborator, able to work seamlessly with educators, families, and support staff
• Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 80 students across several school sites
• Skilled in adapting interventions and activities to a variety of student abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative therapeutic services onsite to elementary students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Complete assessments and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Supervise and provide guidance to the onsite COTA to ensure consistent and effective therapy delivery
• Attend relevant staff meetings, professional development, and IEP reviews
• Travel between assigned elementary schools as part of the caseload
