Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience or training in working with elementary-age children
- Familiarity with school-based therapy and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload across multiple locations
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset for teamwork with teachers, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for students requiring occupational therapy in the school setting
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student goals and progress
- Document services and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Supervise and collaborate closely with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Travel between elementary school sites as needed, ensuring consistent student support
- Adapt strategies and interventions to address students’ unique needs and promote their participation and success in the classroom
