Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Competency in designing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions as needed
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Efficient organizational and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students’ functional needs
  • Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement strategies that facilitate student participation and independence in school activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and interdisciplinary initiatives
  • Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and student accommodations
