Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active OT license (or eligibility) in Indiana
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desired
  • Working knowledge of IEPs and familiarity with providing therapy in educational environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to organize a caseload, conduct assessments, and implement evidence-based therapies
  • Dedication to fostering independence, participation, and academic success for students with diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ unique occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that align with IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy services, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to share strategies and promote generalization of skills
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support students in achieving greater independence and access to the school environment
