Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement tailored treatment plans
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Perform student evaluations and re-evaluations to assess functional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
- Offer training and consultation for school staff to support classroom integration
- Stay current with industry standards and implement best practices in pediatric OT
