Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience working in school environments strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive needs within the educational environment
- Write, implement, and update individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy strategies into classroom activities
- Provide both direct and consultative services to support students' academic participation
- Maintain thorough and timely records; participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate staff and families on techniques, equipment, and strategies to promote independence
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based OT
