Embark on an exciting school-based opportunity as an in-person Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position serves students across the Fairfield and Vacaville areas, working directly within educational settings to make a meaningful impact on student development and learning outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the state
- Prior experience providing OT services in school environments, including knowledge of IEP processes
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Strong documentation and case management proficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans designed to enhance students’ functional performance in the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate recommended strategies into daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Provide direct therapy, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting aligned with school and state requirements
- Offer staff training and support to promote understanding of OT interventions within the classroom
