Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fairfield, OH

Looking for an engaging opportunity to make a real difference? We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings to provide floating support, primarily for K-5 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and multiple disabilities. This contract role is centered around delivering high-quality, compassionate care in an educational environment near Fairfield, OH.

Your day will be spent working a full day each week, offering coverage and expertise where it’s needed most to alleviate caseload overages. In-person therapy is preferred to ensure the best possible outcomes and collaborative relationships. You’ll work closely with educators and school staff to support the growth and development of students, using your OT knowledge to foster independence and academic success.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Prior experience in school settings, ideally supporting students with ASD and multiple disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
• Adaptable and able to float between classrooms or grade levels as needed
• Dedication to evidence-based, student-centered therapeutic interventions

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to K-5 students in a school environment
• Implement customized intervention strategies to address individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other specialists to support student IEPs and goals
• Document sessions, progress, and outcomes for tracking and reporting purposes
• Support inclusive practices within the classroom environment
