Occupational Therapist School Setting in Falls Church, VA

This full-time contract position is based near Falls Church, VA, where you’ll have the chance to apply your expertise as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic and collaborative educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license (Virginia or eligible for reciprocity)
• Previous experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy occupational therapy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and school staff
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
• Comfortable working with diverse student populations across all grade levels (K-12)
• Flexibility to adapt interventions and documentation as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
• Deliver therapy sessions in various formats: in-person, home health visits, and/or teletherapy
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster students’ functional independence and academic participation
• Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders regarding student needs and progress
