An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting secondary students. This full-time, onsite role runs from ASAP through June 23, 2027, and provides the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment. You'll collaborate closely with educators and students, guiding both direct therapy and program development, while also supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Key Qualifications:
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Cleared fingerprints through OSPI prior to start
- Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with secondary (middle or high school) students, preferred
- Ability to supervise and support COTA staff
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ready to work onsite full time (37.5 hours/week)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to secondary student caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and interventions
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring adherence to best practices and student-centered care
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for integrated service delivery
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility evaluations, and team consultations
- Foster a positive, accessible learning environment for every student
