School Occupational Therapist - Ferndale, California

Step into a fulfilling contract position working with children and families in California as either an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time opportunity offers a rich blend of environments, including time in a pediatric clinic and conducting home visits for early intervention. Work 40 hours per week, dividing your expertise between making an impact in homes two days a week and providing care in a dedicated clinic setting the other three.

Ideal candidates will meet these qualifications:

• Current and active California OT license (required for both OTs and COTAs)
• For COTA applicants: solid background and demonstrable experience working with pediatric populations is essential
• Comfortable with a balanced schedule of home and clinic visits
• Ability to start as soon as possible

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver hands-on occupational therapy services to children in home and clinic environments
• Conduct early intervention assessments and develop targeted therapeutic activities
• Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multi-disciplinary clinical teams to create effective treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely session documentation
• Adapt interventions to support children’s growth across a range of functional needs
