Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Texas
  • Proven experience in school-based settings is strongly preferred
  • Background in Home Health or healthcare OT is a plus
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and adaptation of learning environments
  • Excellent communication and organization skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to determine needs for OT services and develop individualized goals
  • Execute evidence-based therapeutic interventions within the school environment
  • Consult with teachers, caregivers, and other professionals to support student success
  • Document and report progress according to school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for student care
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and development
