As a part-time OTR, you’ll work 24 hours per week, distributed across three days. You’ll collaborate directly with students, fellow educators, and support staff, making a tangible difference in students’ daily lives. The role also calls for a professional confident in providing supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) as part of the team.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • California-licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable
  • Capable and comfortable supervising a COTA in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to assess and implement individualized interventions for elementary-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students at elementary sites
  • Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Provide effective supervision and support for the assigned COTA
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting student goals
