Occupational Therapist School Setting - Folsom, CA

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
• Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• At least one year of recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and meeting state/district continuing education requirements

Responsibilities:

• Support and implement occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Facilitate therapeutic activities, interventions, and programs designed to promote student success
• Collect data, document progress, and collaborate with the OT to adapt treatment plans as needed
• Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students’ needs are addressed
• Maintain compliance with state and district documentation requirements
• Actively engage in professional learning opportunities to remain current with best practices
