Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current California OT license
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and special education processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans as part of IEP teams
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, focusing on enhancing participation in school routines and activities
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support classroom adaptations and student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights regarding student goals
- Educate school staff and parents on strategies for classroom integration and carryover of OT interventions
