Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current California OT license
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and special education processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans as part of IEP teams
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, focusing on enhancing participation in school routines and activities
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support classroom adaptations and student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights regarding student goals
  • Educate school staff and parents on strategies for classroom integration and carryover of OT interventions
