Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fontana, CA

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP process and documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Dedication to fostering student independence and supporting educational goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' unique needs
• Design and implement individualized therapy plans that support participation in academic and daily living activities
• Integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and curriculum
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to Individualized Education Program meetings
• Offer guidance to school staff and families regarding best practices and strategies for generalization of skills
