Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Dedication to fostering student independence and supporting educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' unique needs
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans that support participation in academic and daily living activities
- Integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and curriculum
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to Individualized Education Program meetings
- Offer guidance to school staff and families regarding best practices and strategies for generalization of skills
