2nd Grade High School Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to provide in-person support for students ranging from Kindergarten through high school. This contract opportunity is conveniently located near Fort Lauderdale, FL, and is designed to cover a maternity leave from April 13th, 2026, through the end of the school year. Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Florida
• Previous experience working in K-12 school environments preferred
• Comfortable collaborating with teachers and school staff across multiple grade levels: Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and high school
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and adaptable—open to part time or full time schedules
• Ability to work in person; open to some hybrid days as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students across grade levels, targeting functional independence and academic participation
• Develop individualized therapy plans and collaborate on IEP teams
• Evaluate student needs and track measurable progress
• Communicate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Adapt therapy approaches to support diverse student needs
