This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting K-12 students with the skills they need to succeed both academically and personally.
Candidates will work 37.5 hours per week and be part of a collaborative, supportive environment ready for immediate start in the current school year, with positions also secured for the 26/27 year. Experience in school-based OT or as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is highly valued, especially those skilled in developing students’ fine and gross motor abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L) or COTA certification
- Previous school-based OT or COTA experience
- Strong knowledge of fine and gross motor skill development in children and adolescents
- Experience with IEP development and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to helping K-12 students achieve their potential in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing fine and gross motor skill development
- Assess and document students' needs and progress, collaborating on IEPs as required
- Deliver therapy individually and in small groups, adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies for student success
- Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with school and legal standards
