Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade across 2-3 school sites near Fostoria, OH and the Marion/Upper Sandusky area. This position runs from August 17th through June 3rd, offering the chance to support students’ growth and success for the full academic year.
Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with educators and families, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and helping students reach their fullest potential in the classroom. You’ll evaluate and treat students with a range of needs, provide direct intervention, and consult with staff to ensure supportive learning environments.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license recognized in Ohio
- Recent experience providing therapy in an academic or pediatric setting (school-based OT background preferred)
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort working with a diverse student population (PK–12) across multiple sites
- Ability to organize a caseload efficiently and travel to multiple locations within the area
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver therapy services that foster student independence and address fine motor, sensory, and self-care needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Complete required documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultative support and training for school staff as needed
