An exciting opportunity awaits for a qualified Occupational Therapist to support a unique, one-time contract providing compensatory services onsite. This hands-on assignment addresses the needs of a former student, ensuring compliance with state-mandated requirements and delivering essential care despite changes in district enrollment. Candidates with a passion for flexibility, problem-solving, and client-focused intervention will thrive in this role.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings and/or home health environments
  • Familiarity with compensatory and PRS (Problem Resolution System) cases strongly preferred
  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized OT services for pediatric clients
  • Professionalism, strong communication skills, and comfort working in unusual or transitional case scenarios
  • Willingness to work onsite in Lexington, MA; remote or virtual services are not an option

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a total of 8 hours of Occupational Therapy services per assignment requirements
  • Conduct direct therapy for a former student, providing interventions aligned with agreed compensatory services
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with state directives and best practices
  • Collaborate effectively with school administrators and, when appropriate, the receiving district to coordinate schedules and support
  • Exercise thoughtful, creative problem-solving in the context of provider-family-district relationships
