An exciting opportunity awaits for a qualified Occupational Therapist to support a unique, one-time contract providing compensatory services onsite. This hands-on assignment addresses the needs of a former student, ensuring compliance with state-mandated requirements and delivering essential care despite changes in district enrollment. Desired Experience & Skills:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
- Previous experience working in school-based settings and/or home health environments
- Familiarity with compensatory and PRS (Problem Resolution System) cases strongly preferred
- Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized OT services for pediatric clients
- Professionalism, strong communication skills, and comfort working in unusual or transitional case scenarios
- Willingness to work onsite in Lexington, MA; remote or virtual services are not an option
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a total of 8 hours of Occupational Therapy services per assignment requirements
- Conduct direct therapy for a former student, providing interventions aligned with agreed compensatory services
- Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with state directives and best practices
- Collaborate effectively with school administrators and, when appropriate, the receiving district to coordinate schedules and support
- Exercise thoughtful, creative problem-solving in the context of provider-family-district relationships
