Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fredericksburg, VA

This contract position is ideal for an OT looking for a flexible part-time schedule that integrates smoothly with other clinical commitments. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Virginia is required
• Experience in school-based OT preferred
• Ability to provide both direct and consultative OT services to middle school students
• Must meet credentialing requirements, including VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test
• Comfortable managing a balanced caseload with effective time management skills
• Strong communication and collaboration with special education staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 10 students
• Offer consultative support for an additional 15 students, collaborating with educators and families
• Provide occasional evaluations as needed throughout the school year
• Work across two main middle schools, with the possibility of an additional elementary school assignment
• Develop and implement treatment plans supporting student IEP goals
• Engage in documentation, progress monitoring, and participation in team meetings with school professionals
