Make a positive impact supporting students in the Washington DC area as a skilled Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school-based setting. In this flexible, part-time contract role, you’ll engage with middle schoolers, providing both direct and consultative support to help each student thrive in their educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Virginia
  • Previous experience delivering OT services in a K-12 or pediatric school environment preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable balancing both direct student interventions and consultative responsibilities
  • Ability to complete necessary state credentialing requirements promptly, including TB test and social services screening

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy to a caseload of 10 middle school students, with the opportunity for consultative support for an additional 15 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to develop and implement effective IEPs and service plans
  • Conduct occasional evaluations and assessments as referrals arise during the school year
  • Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reports
  • Serve primarily at two middle schools, with the possibility of adding an elementary campus as needed
  • Help create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their potential

This role offers approximately 20 hours per week, with schedules tailored to fit your availability—making it an excellent option for professionals seeking flexibility or a position to complement clinical work. The contract is guaranteed through the full 2026-2027 school year.
