Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in California required
- Prior experience in a school-based OT setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing IEP goals, and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate within school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Assess students to determine therapy needs and progress, keeping clear records
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and adapt interventions as needed
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to maximize student support
- Educate staff and families about strategies and accommodations to foster student success
- Maintain accurate documentation, data, and reports in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
