Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from preschool through 8th grade as an Occupational Therapist. This assignment offers an immediate start and runs through late May, providing essential therapeutic services across two school sites. You’ll make a direct impact in the lives of children by helping them develop the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently (approximately 35 students)
- Familiarity with IEP documentation, goal setting, and implementation
- Adaptable and collaborative when working across multiple sites
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT assessments and interventions for students ages 3 to 14
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with each student’s IEP goals
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to maximize student participation and success in school activities
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Travel between two designated school locations within the assignment
