Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fremont, CA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid California OT license (or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to starting).
• Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, educators, and families.
• Ability to adapt assessment and intervention techniques to diverse student needs.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify student strengths and areas for development related to school tasks and participation.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s goals and educational requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support.
• Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required.
• Provide consultation and training to staff to promote student engagement and functional independence.
• Create and utilize classroom strategies and adaptations that enhance student access to the curriculum.
