Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid California OT license (or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to starting).
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, educators, and families.
- Ability to adapt assessment and intervention techniques to diverse student needs.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student strengths and areas for development related to school tasks and participation.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s goals and educational requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support.
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required.
- Provide consultation and training to staff to promote student engagement and functional independence.
- Create and utilize classroom strategies and adaptations that enhance student access to the curriculum.
