Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students' growth and development in an educational setting near Fremont, CA. This full-time, school-based Occupational Therapy position starts as soon as possible, extending through a 4-month period within the 2025-2026 academic year. You'll collaborate with educators and families to provide essential services to a diverse K-12 caseload.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience or interest in school-based OT settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively engage with students across a variety of ages and backgrounds
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and collaborative school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services for K-12th grade students, following prescribed IEPs
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Work in conjunction with special education teachers, school staff, and families
- Maintain accurate student records and complete necessary documentation in a timely manner
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for student goals
- Provide consultative support and resources to school staff and parents
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere fostering student independence and participation
