Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
  • Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and best practices for pediatric OT
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt therapy plans to individual needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of students’ fine motor, sensory, and developmental skills
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy goals as part of IEP teams
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classroom and therapy room settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and support staff to integrate OT accommodations into daily routines
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Communicate progress and strategies with parents and caregivers
