This role is part-time, spanning three days a week (.6 FTE), with a commitment of 21-24 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California, or eligibility to obtain before the start date
- Prior experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation standards
- Ability to assess students’ functional abilities, develop and implement intervention plans
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and other related service professionals
- Flexible, compassionate, and able to adapt to the dynamic needs of students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and create individualized treatment plans
- Maintain timely and accurate student records and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and provide professional input
- Participate in professional development and school training as needed
