What we’re seeking:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Previous school-based OT experience, or a strong interest in working in educational settings
  • Ability to assess students’ motor and sensory needs and develop individualized therapy strategies
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Strong organizational abilities and adaptability within a school setting

Typical responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and formal evaluations to identify students requiring occupational therapy
  • Develop and implement evidence-based therapy interventions that support student participation in learning activities and daily routines
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student growth and success
  • Provide clear documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and help educate families about therapeutic approaches
  • Travel between school sites across the San Jose and Peninsula area
