Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active and valid Occupational Therapy license for the state
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities in the school setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans to help students access and participate successfully in their educational programs
  • Work closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to provide consultation, strategies, and modifications
  • Document progress, maintain records, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and help set appropriate goals for students
  • Promote inclusion and advocate for accommodations to maximize student success
