Occupational Therapist School Setting - Fremont, CA

This contract position, based near Fremont, CA, seeks a dedicated professional ready to start as soon as possible and/or for the 2026/2027 academic year. You’ll work in-person, full-time, collaborating closely with educators and families to promote student success and independence.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP procedures and documentation
• Effective communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental and physical needs
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to establish, implement, and update IEP goals
• Perform evaluations and assessments to identify students’ functional abilities and recommend appropriate interventions
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s goals
• Maintain thorough progress notes and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Provide training and support to school staff and families on relevant therapeutic strategies
