Occupational Therapist School Setting - Fremont, CA

This part-time, contract opportunity near Fremont, CA, offers you a chance to work closely with transitional kindergarten through 5th-grade students for the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy a predictable schedule of 8 hours weekly, with shifts split over two mornings (approximately 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM), allowing you to maintain flexibility in your week and balance your professional and personal commitments. Compensation for this role ranges from $55 to $70 per hour.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist license
• Prior experience working with school-aged children, especially TK-5th grade, is highly valued
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with educators and families
• Ability to assess and document students’ therapy needs and progress effectively

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in adherence with IEP goals
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs and create targeted intervention plans
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student access and participation in school activities
• Maintain accurate records, data, and reports in compliance with school and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative problem-solving team
