School Occupational Therapist | Fremont, California

This contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to work with TK to 5th-grade students in an engaging educational environment located near Fremont, CA. If you’re passionate about fostering independence and facilitating access to education for all learners, this part-time role—8 hours per week, split across two weekday mornings (approximately 8:30 to 12:30)—is a great fit.

In this role, you will:

• Assess and identify students’ functional strengths and needs specific to fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans for students in transitional kindergarten through 5th grade
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into students’ educational routines
• Document progress, evaluate outcomes, and contribute to IEP meetings and reports
• Provide direct therapy, consultation, and in-classroom support to promote learning and participation
• Adapt environments and modify materials to optimize students’ independence and access throughout the school day

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist license
• Prior school-based experience, especially with elementary-aged students, preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
