Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist working in a school-based setting for the academic year. Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license issued by the state of North Carolina
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy is highly preferred
  • Ability to assess, design, and implement student-centered therapy interventions
  • Skilled in maintaining comprehensive records and adhering to all regulatory documentation requirements
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, parents, and support personnel
  • Demonstrates flexibility in managing varying student caseloads and multiple assignment needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to students as specified in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Evaluate students’ functional abilities, and develop targeted therapy plans to enhance academic success and daily participation
  • Work closely with teaching staff to support the integration of therapeutic strategies in the classroom
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide professional input on student progress and needs
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and comply with all district, school, and federal guidelines
  • Adjust interventions and caseload assignments to meet evolving student and campus requirements
