Key Qualifications:
- Current and active OT license in North Carolina
- Certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment highly valued
- Understanding of IEP processes, student assessment, and intervention planning
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable managing a dynamic caseload, potentially across multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify occupational therapy needs within academic settings
- Create and deliver individualized treatment plans that align with educational goals
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Offer direct therapy services and consultative support to staff and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
- Flexible to adapt and coordinate with varying school schedules or multiple schools as needs arise
- Advocate for inclusive practices fostering student participation in classroom and school activities
This contract assignment spans the academic year, beginning November 2, 2026, and concluding May 21, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
