Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized and group occupational therapy for high school students to enhance functional performance in academic and life skills
- Developing and implementing customized treatment plans focused on pediatric and adolescent needs within a school-based context
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Conducting assessments and documenting outcomes to ensure timely communication and goal achievement
- Utilizing a variety of therapy delivery models, including potential teletherapy support as needed
- Maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as school system protocols
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, particularly with high school-aged youth
- Strong foundation in pediatric occupational therapy, home health, and healthcare environments
- Competence in delivering services via teletherapy when appropriate
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain
- Passion for helping students develop independence, self-advocacy, and success in school
