Embark on a rewarding contract role providing occupational therapy services to students in a dynamic educational environment near Gary, IN. This part-time opportunity spans from May 5, 2026, through June 5, 2026, offering meaningful engagement in both Portage and Valparaiso schools for 14 hours per week, typically spread over two days (Monday through Friday, 7:45 am–3:15 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (required; must be attached upon application)
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based settings
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Recent experience with IEPs and goal writing is a plus
  • Organizational skills for managing a varied caseload across locations

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Providing direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborating closely with educational teams, teachers, and fellow specialists
  • Assessing, planning, and implementing individualized interventions
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining necessary records
  • Traveling between designated school sites (Portage and Valparaiso locations)
  • Contributing to a supportive learning environment through creativity and compassion
