Step into a dynamic school-based environment and make an impact as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year! This contract position runs from August 26, 2026, to June 9, 2027, offering a full 40-hour workweek with the unique possibility of a four-day schedule, depending on team needs. Serving a diverse student population with a caseload of approximately 50, you’ll address a range of sensory processing and fine motor skill needs in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure with eligibility to practice in schools
- Demonstrated experience in one or more settings: school-based, home health, or teletherapy
- Familiarity with COTA supervision and collaboration in a school context
- Background working with children with sensory and fine motor challenges
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Adaptable and resourceful, able to tailor interventions to varied learning styles and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students within IEP frameworks
- Assess students, develop individualized goals, and document progress
- Collaborate with additional OT staff, educators, and families to create well-rounded support
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contributing expert recommendations
- Integrate creative activities that build student independence and classroom participation
- Provide occasional consultation and support for teachers and classroom teams
