Step into an impactful opportunity supporting K-6th grade students for the 2026-2027 school year as a contract Occupational Therapist (OT – or COTA considered) on a part-time basis. This role is based near Georgetown, DE and is designed for a professional eager to make a difference over 2.5 days each week, offering the balance between meaningful student engagement and flexibility.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Delaware OT (or COTA) license, or eligibility to obtain by start date
  • Experience in pediatric or school settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal-oriented therapy approaches
  • Proficiency in organizing caseloads and documenting services
  • Openness to both in-person delivery and potential transition to virtual services by August

Primary Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students across K-6th grades, supporting skill development for participation and independence in school activities
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the evaluation process as part of a dynamic educational team
  • Reserve one half-day weekly for essential meetings, testing, and collaboration
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student success
  • Manage a growing caseload with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of interventions and progress within school guidelines
