Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Texas
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar educational setting
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse needs
  • Ability to assess, plan, and execute effective intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Strong commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and physical development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted occupational therapy services to students in accordance with established IEPs and goals
  • Conduct assessments, gather input from teachers and families, and document progress accurately
  • Partner with school staff to develop effective classroom modifications and teacher consultations
  • Facilitate sessions addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive strategies
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and related professional activities
  • Maintain timely and thorough records to support compliance with state and federal guidelines
