School Occupational Therapist | Gig Harbor, Washington

Step into a rewarding role supporting students across two unique educational environments for the 2026–2027 school year! This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference as you deliver occupational therapy services to both home-schooled K–12 students (including Montessori learners) and a nearby elementary school. With a schedule of 30 on-site hours per week from August 31 to June 17, you’ll be able to provide consistent, hands-on support throughout the academic year.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure for the state of Washington
• Previous pediatric and/or school-based OT experience preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes, assessments, and documentation
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to collaborate across grade levels and educational models
• Commitment to in-person services; remote work is not available for this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students at both a K-12 (home school/Montessori) and elementary setting
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
• Provide consultative support and resources to teachers, staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, develop relevant documentation, and maintain compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
• Travel between two sites as needed within the school community
• Adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs and learning environments
