In this essential role, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to help students reach their fullest potential. Your expertise will be key in evaluating and addressing students’ learning, motor, and adaptive skills to support overall student achievement and participation in the educational environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in California
  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and student-centered therapy
  • Ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ functional abilities and develop customized intervention plans
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students individually or in group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and student progress according to school and legal guidelines
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Provide consultative support to educators regarding strategies and adaptations
  • Help students build independence and participate meaningfully in school activities
