Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT role is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and school documentation standards
  • Passion for fostering independence, participation, and success in students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students per Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Perform assessments to determine students’ therapy needs, document progress, and update goals as needed
  • Develop individualized and group intervention strategies targeting fine motor, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and family members to support students’ needs and integrate OT recommendations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for necessary supports
  • Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and compliance documentation as required by district and state guidelines
