Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and school documentation standards
- Passion for fostering independence, participation, and success in students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students per Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Perform assessments to determine students’ therapy needs, document progress, and update goals as needed
- Develop individualized and group intervention strategies targeting fine motor, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and family members to support students’ needs and integrate OT recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for necessary supports
- Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and compliance documentation as required by district and state guidelines
