School-Based Occupational Therapist – Student Access & Functional Skills Specialist (2026/2027 School Year)

A school district in the Gilroy, CA area is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026–2027 school year. Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations focused on school-related functional performance

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans

• Provide direct services supporting fine motor skills, sensory integration, and classroom participation

• Assist students in improving independence with school routines and daily living tasks

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals

• Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with district requirements

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Experience:

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required

• Experience supporting sensory processing and adaptive skill development is a plus

• New graduates encouraged to apply

Education:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active California Occupational Therapist License required
