School-Based Occupational Therapist – Student Access & Functional Skills Specialist (2026/2027 School Year)
A school district in the Gilroy, CA area is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026–2027 school year. Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations focused on school-related functional performance
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
Provide direct services supporting fine motor skills, sensory integration, and classroom participation
Assist students in improving independence with school routines and daily living tasks
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals
Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with district requirements
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Experience:
School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
Experience supporting sensory processing and adaptive skill development is a plus
New graduates encouraged to apply
Education:
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Active California Occupational Therapist License required
