Occupational Therapist School Setting in Glastonbury, CT

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential support for students in elementary school Autism programs. This role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with immediate start available and extends through June 2027. The position is part-time, offering a schedule of Monday through Friday, 22.5 hours per week. Whether you’re an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), your expertise will make a significant difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid OT or COTA license in Connecticut
• Prior experience or strong interest in school-based therapy, specifically working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a multi-site environment supporting students across three elementary schools

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to approximately 50 elementary students, focusing on those within Autism program classrooms
• Collaborate with special education staff and classroom teams to implement IEP goals and evidence-based interventions
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements
• Participate in team meetings and support parent communication as needed
• Flexibly support program needs as educational plans evolve throughout the school year
