A unique opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist interested in a flexible, part-time position for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role offers the chance to provide both in-person and teletherapy services to students ranging from various grade levels, ensuring they gain access to the support needed to thrive academically and personally.
You will work with a manageable caseload of approximately 32-33 students. Each student typically receives OT services once per week, with a few students attending sessions twice weekly. Your expertise will help improve fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and daily living abilities for students overcoming challenges in a school setting.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapy licensure (OT)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and effective remote communication
- Strong evaluation, documentation, and goal-setting skills
- Excellent collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver engaging and targeted OT sessions aligned with IEPs, both virtually and in person
- Maintain thorough records to track progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Communicate clearly with school staff and families regarding student goals and outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise for student support planning
