Current opportunities include:
- First position: Provide coverage for two non-concurrent leaves across elementary schools, with a full-time schedule (35+ hours weekly) spanning the entire school year.
- Second position: Serve in an elementary school, stepping in for a full-time maternity leave from October to April, also at 35+ hours each week.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A valid Occupational Therapy license for Illinois
- Experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- The ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs
- A passion for promoting student independence and participation in school routines
- Availability for the designated contract duration
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct OT services to students based on IEPs
- Evaluating new referrals and reassessing ongoing cases
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress
- Documenting progress, goals, and session outcomes in compliance with district guidelines
- Participating in meetings and contributing to team discussions for student support
