Current opportunities include:

  • First position: Provide coverage for two non-concurrent leaves across elementary schools, with a full-time schedule (35+ hours weekly) spanning the entire school year.
  • Second position: Serve in an elementary school, stepping in for a full-time maternity leave from October to April, also at 35+ hours each week.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A valid Occupational Therapy license for Illinois
  • Experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • The ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs
  • A passion for promoting student independence and participation in school routines
  • Availability for the designated contract duration

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct OT services to students based on IEPs
  • Evaluating new referrals and reassessing ongoing cases
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress
  • Documenting progress, goals, and session outcomes in compliance with district guidelines
  • Participating in meetings and contributing to team discussions for student support
