Two school-based Occupational Therapists are sought to fill contract positions within elementary settings near Glendale Heights, IL. Each assignment offers opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners, supporting their functional success throughout the school year.

Position 1 involves two non-concurrent leaves at elementary schools, providing full-time occupational therapy services for a complete school year (35+ hours weekly). You’ll deliver direct and consultative therapy, collaborating closely with educational teams to promote students’ participation and independence in the classroom.

Position 2 offers a full-time maternity leave coverage (October–April) at an elementary school, with a minimum of 35 hours per week, focusing on implementing IEPs, conducting assessments, and fostering a positive, productive therapy environment.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Illinois OT licensure
  • Previous pediatric or school OT experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with IDEA and school standards
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and educators
  • Provide direct therapy, consultation, and progress updates to stakeholders
  • Contribute to RTI and classroom integration, supporting varied learning styles
