Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an OT
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but new graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Understanding of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive equipment
- Compassion for working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ needs and strengths
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities, routines, and self-care
- Maintain accurate documentation for evaluations, treatments, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary student planning
- Educate and consult with teachers and caregivers to support generalization of skills
- Stay current with best practices in school-based therapy and ongoing professional growth
