School Occupational Therapist | Grambling, Louisiana

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist, providing essential services across multiple school sites. In this contract position, you will offer your expertise at four locations, collaborate with staff, and help shape a positive educational environment for children. This part-time opportunity asks for a strong commitment of 20-25 hours per week, primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with dedicated time for PreK evaluations on Fridays. Supervision of a COTA is part of the assignment, presenting an excellent leadership development aspect.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana
• Previous experience working in a school setting, with a focus on pediatric/educational OT preferred
• Ability to provide therapeutic intervention and evaluation with children ages PreK-12
• Willingness to travel between four nearby school sites as scheduled
• Experience supervising COTAs or openness to developing supervisory skills
• Strong documentation and communication abilities
• Flexibility for onsite work and availability for immediate start

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students at multiple locations according to IEPs
• Complete PreK evaluations and comprehensive documentation
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support personnel
• Supervise and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Travel between assigned sites within the district as needed
• Contribute to student success by adapting interventions to individual needs
