Step into an enriching opportunity as a part-time virtual occupational therapist supporting students of all grade levels. This short-term contract offers immediate start and the chance to make a significant impact within a collaborative school setting—all while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely.

You’ll play a key role in conducting re-evaluations, performing PreK evaluations (scheduled on Fridays), and dedicating at least one day each week to complete IEPs. An essential aspect of this position also includes supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Once the initial contract wraps up, ongoing COTA supervision may continue under a simplified arrangement.

Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Active, unrestricted Louisiana OT license required
  • Previous experience serving school-aged children in a virtual or onsite OT capacity
  • Confidence and proven ability to conduct evaluations and write IEPs independently
  • Experience supervising or mentoring a COTA is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable utilizing virtual platforms for assessments and meetings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform occupational therapy re-evaluations for students across different grade levels
  • Conduct PreK assessments (Fridays)
  • Complete and update IEP documents at least one day per week
  • Provide remote supervision and support to a COTA
  • Communicate effectively with educators, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as per school and licensure requirements
