Step into an enriching opportunity as a part-time virtual occupational therapist supporting students of all grade levels. You’ll play a key role in conducting re-evaluations, performing PreK evaluations (scheduled on Fridays), and dedicating at least one day each week to complete IEPs. An essential aspect of this position also includes supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Once the initial contract wraps up, ongoing COTA supervision may continue under a simplified arrangement.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Active, unrestricted Louisiana OT license required
- Previous experience serving school-aged children in a virtual or onsite OT capacity
- Confidence and proven ability to conduct evaluations and write IEPs independently
- Experience supervising or mentoring a COTA is highly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable utilizing virtual platforms for assessments and meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform occupational therapy re-evaluations for students across different grade levels
