Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist license for Indiana
- Previous experience working with school-aged or pediatric populations, preferably in elementary settings
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement interventions targeting fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills for children
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Skilled in maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary students onsite, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and strengths
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans to improve students’ functional abilities in the academic setting
- Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Consult and collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
