Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapy license and certification
- Arizona Speech and Language Pathology certificate required
- Previous experience in school-based Occupational Therapy settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Capable of developing and implementing effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working across multiple age groups
- Proficiency in assessment tools and documentation strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Occupational Therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills challenges
- Evaluate and document students’ progress, collaborating with educators and families to ensure individual growth
- Develop and implement individualized interventions and treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to student goal setting and progress discussions
- Educate school staff on adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and inclusive strategies
- Maintain timely records, reports, and communications as required by the school and district policies
